Hey everybody, happy new year! I’m sadly having some issues with my Monstera. A month or so ago it was looking vibrant, lush and happy but a few weeks back I’d seemingly overwatered it and it’s drainage pot it lived in was 1/4 full of water, oops. I took it out, let it drain for a few hours til the draining holes weren’t as wet and popped it back in its pot. Sadly it’s not bounced back yet. The leaves are super droopy, look damaged and have marks on them. the top layer of soil is fairly damp, roots are damp and there’s no water in the drainage pot. It lives in about 60-65% humidity but it is about 30ft from the humidifier and about 30ft from a wall of windows either south facing light (in a murky uk winter). The room temperature is a stable 18 degrees and I mist/water as per the app. Could the marks on the leaves be disease? Low humidity? Overwatering? Not enough light? Etc Many thanks,

Do you have any advice on removing the soil without damaging the plant/roots? I’m a bit of a rookie in that department

Can we tell if we have any root rot from this image?

Nothing mushy but if I grab it the soil and roots are still very very damp

Is there any way to dry the thing out without removing all the soil?

Okay, fairly sure I’ve avoided root rot, roots are fine, there’s no smell but it’s all very wet. I’ve wrapped it in kitchen towel and newspaper and placed the plant near my dehumidifier. Hopefully that helps take some of the moisture out of the soil! Thank you for all your help :)
