I got this Thai Con in July as a baby. First new leaf that emerged was half white. Second was fenestrated with classic speckled pattern. Third (currently unfurling) looks like it’s going to be mostly white with fenestrations. I’m wondering if I should be worried about the next leaf being fully white. It’s in a south facing window. I have a Deliciosa in the same window that has almost 3 foot wide leaves.

Gorgeous! I’ve heard people say if a variegated plant is growing all white, you can chop it back to an older growth node to get it growing normal again. I haven’t had it happen to me yet though

Thanks! I’ve read conflicting guides online about Thai Cons. Some say the new leaf variegations will never be the same (ex. You won’t get gradually whiter leaves), some say white leaves can be cut back, and other things. Hoping someone has had a similar experience to me here 😊

Yeah I’ve definitely heard about it happening in Albos. It’s not as often than a Thai gets a lot of white. Maybe it’s worth seeing how variegated the next leaf turns out. And hopefully some more folks weigh in with experience
