Any ideas on how to prune this monster!!! Ahhh!

    I would like to grow it vertically - but it’s losing balance as the top if very heavy

    I would get a moss pole or coco coke pole but I would also move it so it’s not so close to the ceiling that’s probably part of why it’s leaning so hard

    Agree with Rikkay. Get something for it to climb on and lower it. If it were me, based on your pic, I wouldn’t prune it.

    thanks for all the help - in this comment - why would advise not pruning?

      It’s probably more about preference! I have trimmed mine quite a bit the past year, but he’s still pretty leafy. Perhaps it’s more about the look you’re going for. I like the leafy look, so to me, it doesn’t look like it has that much to prune. Here’s mine for reference. ☺️

    If you want it to grow vertically I suggest chopping the whole thing at the nodes and rerooting in water and starting over so you can properly position it in a new pot with a moss pole. It looks like it has sprawled pretty far out it would be difficult to redirect the plant in one direction at that maturity. Keep in mind, there is a front and back to the plant. You will want to position the back towards and up against the moss pole because that is the side that aerial roots grow out of.
