My wife picked up this guy from Facebook Marketplace last night. The yellow leaf’s stem was bent over so we tied it up to the moss pole. Any suggestions on trimming the yellow leaf? As well, is browning on the stems normal like this?

Beautiful plant! When I need to trim a leaf off I try to trim as close to the main stem as I can get, sometimes if they’re crispy/bendy enough you can just pull them right off. The browning in my opinion is normal, I see it with my monsteras and it doesn’t cause issues I think they brown like that over time because it isn’t trying to grow a new leaf there. I hope this helps!!

I could not post a link to this information and a quick google search (brown cataphyll on monstera) will render results. Also, Best if the brown leaf get cut off, like others have suggested. Happy gardening!!!
