I noticed that my monstera started getting yellow leaves. I’ve got it in a tropical mix of one part potting soil, one part orchid bark, one part perlite, and a bit of charcoal and mosquito bits. The soil is dry in the top two inches and isn’t wet in the bottom. I’m thinking it’s a lighting issue. It’s in a room with north facing windows on one side and west facing in the other side. I can’t put it in a sunnier location. Do you think this grow light is adequate or should I do something more?

    It’s pretty natural for bottom leaves to go yellow and die off. It helps push growth to the upper levels. I’d snip them off. Good idea to clip off smaller leaves/suckers to get bigger upper growth

      Oh ok! I thought for sure I had killed the plant lol

      Oh no. Def not. If it was the upper or mid leaves then I’d be a bit more concerned. But being so small and lower down, there’s plenty of nice big leaves to keep the plant healthy. Snip them off and keep an eye on the others. 😊 give the leaves a good wipe down and I think it’s good
