Can’t believe I got this beautiful Monstera from Lidl about 2 years ago and it was about 30cm tall, now look at this giant!! Just sprouted a brand new leaf and it’s the biggest yet, always find it so interesting to see how the plant changes as it matures 😍 Happy Friday 🌱
💖 In around October last year I put it in this massive pot as it was growing really quickly with the bright light in my flat. Since then she has exploded with growth! When I water it, I absolutely drench the pot outside and leave it for a while to fully drain and when promoted by planta I add miracle grow liquid fertiliser which tends to work really well! She’s deffo due a repot/root cutting soon but it’s so big it’s going to be a two person job 😂 another small tip I’ve picked up is to trim any small unnecessary leaves that aren’t adding to the plant, it gives more energy for the big leaves 🥰

My front room is really dim. I’ve recently added a grow light and this seems to be working well… but I don’t think it can replace a beautifully bright room! I just use baby bio fertiliser but have just started using a seaweed foliar spray so time will tell! Have you got a photo of the fertiliser you use so I can give that a go too?! 🙏😍
좋아요 1개 Yeah of course, I would say a grow light is a good shout tho! No problem lemme go find it now for you 🥰 I just randomly bought this and use it for all my houseplants, it’s worked amazingly for me!

THAT LOOKS AMAZING!! Have you had to separate it at all? Mine is also about 2 yrs old and it’s just so floppy I’ve tried putting poles in it and there’s just so many leaves I can never configure it correctly, I’ve been wanting to separate it for a while but I’m nervous I’ll kill it and I wasn’t sure if it really needed it
좋아요 1개 Thank youuu! No I haven’t separated this one since I bought it, only repotted, but I believe there’s two plants in there. My boyfriend had another Monstera though and it was really sad so I completely chopped away at it and propagated 6 plants from it, some just leaves with nodes on and some just stems with no leaves. They have all done very well tbh and are growing much better so maybe give something like that a go and have some babies 😂 I’ll attach some of the pics of the propagated ones so you can see!
