I would love to have a Monstera, but I don’t know much about them… if anyone could give me tips before I get one, or maybe a variation recommendation. Much appreciated!

I’ve had a deliciosa for a couple years that I grew from a cutting and was lucky enough to find a relatively affordable rooted albo, rooted thai constellation, and rooted node of aurea last weekend! I also have a monstera rhaphidophora that I cannot for the life of me make happy. Deliciosa is a great starter monstera in my opinion and can make your home feel very jungly! I’d recommend that one before thai/albo/aurea just because although they’re so beautiful they’re much more expensive and a riskier first try plant (although they do seem to grow pretty similarly to deliciosa).

Thanks, I’ll look into them and post if I get one!

Give it more of light to get those huge leaves with holes in them. Get it a support right away to help it climb. 🌿

But just between you and me my cat has like taken massive bites out of mine and been fine. Only damage is cosmetic :(
