My baby’s first repot! She is my first monstera and I love her! Also, that half brown leaf is like that because of needing a repot, but when should I cut it off and how? It has not gotten worse for a week and a half.

    if it’s been in the new pot for a week and a half already i think you should be fine to cut it whenever!!

    I just repot it like five minutes ago. So in a week would it be okay to cut it off? And where do I cut?

      It’s kind of up to you and what you want to do. You can leave it be, or you can trim just the brown part off if you want with sanitized clippers or scissors if you don’t like the aesthetic. Or you can trim the entire lighter portion of variegation as the brown may spread (but it also might not), OR you can cut the whole leaf off near the base if that pleases you too. Other than the lil crispy end the rest of the leaf is still very green so it’s still capturing light and benefiting the plant, so I wouldn’t recommend cutting the entire leaf off unless you just really don’t like how it looks after trimming.

      Thank you so much! This helps a lot! I would much rather it be healthy than aesthetic, so I will consider my options while it acclimates to its new home and then snip snip 😁

    Brown leaves are good to cut of because they are dead. I would just use some kitchen shears but be careful of where you cut.
