if anyone remembers my 20+ plants in my dorm room, i just moved into my first apartment and here is my setup:) i still have other plants around but this is my pride and joy. i’m working on getting a grow light since it’s north facing, however it gets enough sunlight, but will work on getting a sufficient amount for them
Finally got my plant “wall” done. I’m so happy how it turned out and now everyone gets to bask in the light. ☀️
I’m loving this plant stand! 💙 Even my fiancé was impressed, and he could care less about plants. lol.

Alright… unless free plants drop in my lap or magically appear in the greenhouse I need to take a break I love the vibes but I THINK my husband is about to tell me we need groceries and not more houseplants so… lol. And I’m out of spaces to ‘sneak’ them in. Not that he would shame me, but that my guilt of overbuying might embarrass me.

So I caved and bought a bundle of string from TikTok… they’re all so pretty. Now just have to get pots to put them in.
Hey y’all! I’m repotting a VERY large monstera this week, and need some help! She is tipping over, so I think I need a moss pole or trellis for some stability to keep her upright. Do any of you guys have any tips or tricks for this with monsteras? Thank youuu!
Welcome to my home. This is my bookshelf set up! This is the corner of my home where I sit to read and enjoy my plants!
This is my plant shelf! I have plants in many other locations around my apartment, but this is the greatest concentration! At night I’ve got solar lights and a string of LED lights around the shelves. I’ve also got grow lights and a fake snake! 🤣 Yes, that’s a spot for my cats, but they can’t get to the plants. There’s a piece of plexiglass on that lower shelf (you can just make it out). I’m at 56 now and maybe have room for one more indirect/low light hanging plant. I might save that spot for my new Pearl & Jade. But she’s still a tiny (potted) baby.
My dining room plant set up is finally complete!
My plant setup for a too-small-house/not-enough-money situation 😆 (click pictures to show hidden parts). Ignore the kitchen construction. I am currently in the middle of a too-long break of renovation. Also ignore the mess around the plants in the kitchen and on the aquarium. That’s to stop my cats from chewing on the leaves. If you would like a list of products I use, the water jugs are Parent’s choice distilled water gallons from Walmart, some Great Value glass cleaner from Walmart, a dog treat tin from BarkBox, Dead AF spray from @theplantbarco, a mister I think from Target maybe… 🤣 🤣 🤣. Seriously though, I do plan on slowly getting all of these set up nicely once I can. I am thinking about moving my chameleon cage to the middle of that wall, getting rid of the dining table, and putting two of those half moon shaped shelves on each side. The IKEA greenhouse will probably move to my entertainment center. Whatever I do has to consider cat accessibility. The living room notice has a fake plant and pet-friendly Hoya on the lower shelves :). Finally, my fish tank has my bigger monstera and dracaena Rikki so I can keep them away from the cats as well. They are a little far from a good window, so I need to add a plant light asap. Do you guys like my fish tank lid 😁? I couldn’t find a hood that allowed the filter on the side and I need to keep the game box and all messy as well to keep the cats from jumping on it. PS: I really opened up here showing my chaos. Sorry it is not Instagram worthy, but it is a way to keep close to 100 plants in such a small area on a limited budget 😉. I’ve wanted this little plant wall for YEARS and finally got it created. And now I’m realizing it probably doesn’t get as much light as I thought it did. The opposite wall is a west facing window but there’s a maple tree outside and so even though the room is bright, it’s pretty indirect and I think the plants are all too far away. I’ve been looking at grow lights but I’m just not sure what would work here so the lights are above the plants and shine into the little boxes, and still looks nice. It would also be amazing to keep cords at a minimum so that there isn’t something else for my kids, cats and dogs to play with. Does anyone have any ideas?
Hello! I moved into an apartment in Florida from Seattle about a year ago. I had to rehome all of my plants in Seattle. I decided that I was going to buy some plants at the start of May. I now have 28 plants!! OMG, what have I done? I have two cats that like to eat plants. You name it, and they will eat it— even cacti! Truth. They bit off all the tips on my zebra plant. In Seattle, I resorted to cages around the plants. I want to show off my plants (without cages) and protect cats. I have macrame hangars, and I thought about floating shelves. Any suggestions to keep plants out of the way? I appreciate your thoughts!

Just started up my first plant wall! She’s a bit sparse right now but not complaining for the need to buy MORE plants 😅. I do think I will need to add a grow light or two somewhere based off the distance to the window and the direction the window is facing for them to really thrive. Ideas?
