Still learning, still growing. Most of these plants are rescues from big box stores, and a few have been with me for years now. I love every one of them. Tips are welcome, and I’d love to see how you set yours up.
Such a beautiful lil drama queen
Just added two new begonias to my begonia family: a “Breakdance” begonia named B-Boy and a variegated (barely 😂) soli mutata named Sunny. I think I’m in love! 😍
Just wanted to share my saves from Lowe’s clearance: all for under $20! Attached are the before (left) and after (right) photos. Turns out the one plant had two different kinds in it. I they thrive in their new home 😊 I brought them home, took them out of their old soil (I think they just had fungus gnats and were over watered). Gave them and their pots a good rinse. Roots are healthy, but still soaked them in a hydrogen peroxide solution for about 30 minutes. Repotted into tropical soil, except the one is in LECA (trying something new). And now fingers crossed they adapt 🤞🤞
A whole collection of plants I have mostly succulents but I’m getting into tropics
Connie my spineless yucca has grown so big in the two years since I got her, that I’ve had to move her from the bathroom window to downstairs. Noooo one told me they grow this fast. See the Oct 2023 photo verses today! How big do these things get, should I be looking for a new house! 😆
Just finished putting up my grow lights! We don’t get enough sun in NC in the winter
This👇👇 beautiful pointsettia that i found at my local Walmart of all places, bought it about two weeks ago and is still looking gorgeous! Any tips you might have would be great. This was one of the only ones that was variegated like this so this was a good find for me!
Growing steady
Thankful for Planta for giving us the knowledge to make these ladies thrive! Three years of growth, 108 babies, and we are proud!!
New plant Alert!!!
My croton is blooming I’m so happy!!! This has happened once in the 9 years I have owned it. So yay for bloom number 2!! I got super stressed coming in for winter dropping almost all the leaves I was so scared I was going to loose him but I set up a room for my plants and they are thriving.
Christmas plant haul! Alocasia Maharani Hoya Fungii Rex Begonia Alocasia Jacklyn Calathea White Fusion Pinguicula Victoria
Pt. 2 of birthday haul. My girlfriend was sick last week for my birthday so she took me today. I got a monstera sandleyana albo, syngonium mojito, philodendron Congo nuclear, a philodendron billietiae and a zz zenzi! So excited
I rescued this little guy from Home Depot. ❤️
Those poor violets have been neglected for a few years. I’ve gotten back to it lately. Many were beheaded, some more need it, but it’s blooming, constantly. Extra dry indoor temperatures of the Québécois winters are a true challenge with plants. Enjoy!
Was gifted a new plant stand for Crimis and I couldn't love her move!
It’s probably time to chop and let her start allllll over again. I have never chopped a plant to where they have no more leaves and am worried of turning her into a permanent stump! I have a Sansi grow light on for 12 hours a day. She gets powerful light but it’s a bit cold in the house. Lower humidity too. I want to chop now so she is ready to pop out new growth early in spring, but I probably should wait at least until March. Any tips on chopping down to soil appreciated!
This is my Aunts rubber tree. She has had it 30 years!
