I gave an orchid to a friend, looked like she killed it so I took it home to double check. I honestly thought it was dead too. Then magically a bit of green came out of the pot a few months ago, followed by this interesting winding stem to get to the light. First bloom today!

Got plant mail yesterday I’m super excited about! Gymnocalycium spegazzinii var. unguispinum - for some reason it reminds me of Van Gogh’s starry night painting, so of course I had to name it Star☺️🌌
