First Cucumber!
First watermellon!
Finally got two new growths coming in. She used to be about two times the size but I was moving her and she broke into three pieces, glad I saved the base. Wasn't sure if anything would grow from it again but there it is, thankfully! LOVE SEEING NEW GROWTH! 😬👏🏼
Everyone had their photo taken today! Am I being silly?
First ever plant and first ever post! Decided I needed a new hobby so last weekend I went out and stated an indoor greenhouse in my apartment. My Roma tomatoes started to sprout yesterday and they’re doing even better today! Basil is also starting to come in. Excited to continue on with this adventure!
The family
This one in particular just caught my eye, pretty little leave on my lemon lime name Sprite.
String of needles is showing out with the flowers 😀
Happy early Birthday to me from me, one of my bucket list plants… the Alocasia ‘Pink Dragon’ 🩷 her pink stems & purple leaves are EVERYTHING! & she has a new little baby leaf uncurling! I named her Gemini, obviously ♊️

Hi! I’m Brittany, and I’m new to Planta. 👋🏼 I’ll start by saying: I need a shock collar that prevents me from going down plant aisles. 😂 Went to Walmart to get bird seed, which is conveniently next to all of their planters. Got a few cute planters, which clearly meant I needed to find plants to fill them. Meet my five new plant children (names in purple) and their plant siblings also in that room (names in blue). 🪴❤️ I now have 44 house plants and counting. 🫠 I’ve given my friends my full permission to step in and have an intervention with me. 😂
Wanted to share my plants’ new wall!
I wanted to share the new plant stand I just put together. I'm so loving how my plants look on it 😍
I have to say that I’m a little annoyed at my T. abdita at the moment. I’ve been trying so hard over the last like 2 years to get it to turn red and was unsuccessful. Now all of a sudden, I have finally succeeded and it’s simultaneously starting to flower! Grr!!! I just wanted to enjoy a red abdita for a while, but it’s insisting on killing itself to allow that to happen! Sigh…oh well, at least I’ll get a bunch of baby plants out of it when it’s done. Silver lining. I’ll just enjoy the show while it lasts. Does anyone have more experience with Tillandsia and know if this is what usually happens with this species? Like can I have a red abdita without having it decide to flower and thus end its life?
