My daughter picked this Polka Dot Begonia out as a potential for her dorm room. But of course there wasn’t enough light. This guy loves his spot in my sunny east facing room! Started off a quarter of this size. I finally had to move it down a level on my plant shelf because it’s getting way too tall (about 3 ft!) It’s rapidly becoming one of my favorites. I sure hope she doesn’t try to take it back someday. I’ll probably try to propagate in the spring. Maybe I can convince her to take the baby. Ha!

A couple years ago I couldn’t keep a plant alive if my life depended on it. The first photo is my swamp monster I made at the start of my plant journey and the next two are some of my current babies. Anytime someone I know wants to get into house plants but feels discouraged I always show them this photo so they know its okay if you mess up in the begining.
