Very excited to share a (belated) update on my Hoya ‘Mathilde’’s first flowers. I was so excited to have my first Hoya start to bloom this month. I want to thank all the Hoya experts on this app for their tips over the years. Definitely made me a lot less anxious about trying Hoyas out last year. For anyone interested in trying Hoyas out, I’d highly recommend picking one of these up, as well as a Hoya Pubicalyx. They’ve both been extremely low-maintenance Hoyas for me. For anyone curious about what this one’s blooms smell like, I’d say it’s somewhere between a gardenia or rose when it first blooms, then smells more rose-like as the blooms age.
