Hi all, I just got an indoor corn tree about a week ago and am unsure of how to fix its health. Some of the leaves are browned at the tips. I read online that you should water it every 1-2 weeks but nowhere does it say how much water. I have provided a picture below… any advice helps :) Thank you

Hey it’s not an amount of water. I always “drown” them when it’s time to water. Those have huge trunk which is water storage. I honestly water mine maybe once a month. I fully saturate all the soil and put it back. Make sure it’s in a pot with drainage so the excess water can escape.

But you won’t mess it up by giving say a gallon of water vs a cup if that makes sense.

Thank you so much for this tip!! I do have it in a pot that has drainage holes. Unfortunately I do not have an area in my home where I can take the tree out and put it back in. I’m also not sure when it was watered last. I did mist it. I read online you’re supposed to do that once or twice a week? Do you think I should water it now or wait?

Misting is for humidity but not an actual effective way. Misting only increases humidity around the plant for a couple minutes. If you want you can get a humidifier and keep it close but mine is just fine without it. I bottom water in a large container, Tupperware or tote, sometimes my bathtub 😂. I would let the soil dry out completely then set it in a tub of water for a while it’ll soak up all that it needs once the top is moistened to the touch it’s done. Works for all plants😉.

Honestly I’d fill up that clear plastic under it and let it drink up from that probably would have to fill it a few times though

Interesting. I did not know that was for humidity purposes. The bathtub is funny lol. My roommate would be so confused if she got home and saw a tree in the tub🤣

I’ll definitely do this. Do you still recommend me drying it out before doing this?

Yes I do but it’s hard because conditions vary house to house. But mine is bone dry right now and looks happy and doesn’t have the huge trunk yet to store water like yours does. (Don’t mind my crispy edges it’s what’s left from the store she was a clearance rescue)
