0 Mi piaceOmg what are your tips? My oxalis never looks like this
1 mi piaceThis is in a large east facing (it’s actually sliding doors) so it’s gets a splash of direct morning sun and then ~5 hours of bright indirect (probably a bit more than that) I cut it back to nothing in the fall and put it in the basement, and then bring it back out in late Feb/early March and water. If it gets too much direct sun it stops making flowers. And in the case of the purple varieties, it will also make the leaves start to green. What else…I keep it in a 1:1 mix of peat moss and perlite — that’s it! Water when it dries out, which is pretty quick with this blend. Fertilize one or twice a month with a gentle organic 1:1:1 liquid fertilizer I rotate it once in a while but better to do this too little than too frequently or the stems will get really wavy and wild — the leaves turn to the sun lightning fast 💟💟💟
3 Mi piaceOh wow! Thank you for sharing. I cut mine back and put it in my basement every winter too. Some years I’ve tried keeping it outside, some years inside by a south window, and this year it’s under a grow light. Each time it grows leggy and sparse but it’s never turned green. It’s flowered outside and inside before but not this year.
1 mi piaceSo good. The shapes kill me.
