Anyone know why my moon cactus is growing these arms??😂I never seen a moon cactus look like this. Curious to know if anyone knows why this is happening🫶🏼

Plants can get “leggy” when they aren’t getting enough light and trying to reach it better. What is the lighting situation for it?

Is the leggy part sticking out towards the window? I can’t tell exactly but it looks like the blinds aren’t open all the way? Maybe that would help but yeah it might need a brighter window facing a different direction with more direct light. Next to a window doesn’t always mean super bright light as things can block the light coming into the window from outside and depending on direction it faces. Or a grow light. But if you don’t mind the leg and it continues to do alright you can just leave it and see how it adapts.
1 mi piaceYeah I keep the blinds half open because the sun comes up on my side of the house so it’s usually SUPER bright. But i can open them more and see if anything is different!! The plant doesn’t seem to look like it isn’t getting any sun except for its arm😂 I live in New York so the sun isn’t nearly as strong this time of year as it usually is🙁

It’s etiolation, usually bc of lack of sunlight.
