Were the leaves like that when you brought it home? Also, what is the orientation of your windows and what part of the country do you live in? My FLF absolutely thrives in an east facing window with a covered porch outside. If the leaves a have gone brown since bringing it home it may be getting sun scorched with too much light. It also might need to be repotted based on the tree vs. pot size. But without a few more details I’m just speculating on all of it. It
0 Mi piaceWhen I first brought it home they were slightly brown crisp but that have gotten a bit worse. I live in NY. Windows get sun for a few hrs a day. Will need to check to see if they are n,s,e or west. Any tips on repotting its so big not sure I can do alone.
0 Mi piaceFiddle leaf fig is beautiful 😻 I would have so many plants if I had that window
0 Mi piaceI don’t think the brown is anything to worry about if it hasn’t gotten worse. You can cut the dead parts off with sanitized clippers. From the photo she looks to be at least 10 - 12 feet tall which is why I was thinking you might need to repot. They like to be a bit snug but not root-bound. It also doesn’t look like she has any drainage which can cause root rot. FLF can be temperamental so you want to optimize any conditions you can control. Planta won’t allow links to other sites but if you search for “repotting fiddle leaf figs” Greenhouse Studio has a great article for on repotting. Everything from pot size, to soil types and includes a step by step guide both in article and video form. GOOD LUCK and keep ups posted. 🍀
