Please make a suggestion as to what is happening to my bird nest fern and how to fix it? The last picture is what it looked like 3 May 2025. Sitting high on the bookcase. The other 3 photos were taken today. Thanks š» I have been using tap water to water all my plants.
I was gifted this fern (environment change) but some of the leaves are getting crunchy and browningš„² Any suggestions?
Can anyone tell me if these look healthy? I bought 2 pots of staghead ferns. They didnāt look great but I was happy to get them. I divided one pot into two, plus mounted a third. And I was going to repot and divide the other cause it had a pup but the pup died. Now Iām worried. Iāve never had staghead ferns and Iām not real good with plants. But Iāve always wanted one. I really know very little about them. Iāve watched videos and read but I still feel awkward. Iāve moved them to where there is greater light and more air movement but my phone still says they arenāt getting enough light. I have a grow light I was using when in the other room. The bases got real dark and the frons were more limp. I did treat for mealy bugs right after we brought them home. The talk one had them the worst. I used alcohol and later treated them all with needs oil with soap and peppermint in the spray. They just look like they are dying to me. Not as green and lush as I expect. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hello! Got this fern today hoping I could save it, but I'm pretty new to fern care. The ends of the leaves are browning a bit, as well as the bottom leaves seem to be turning yellow and/or dying off. Also, does it need a bigger pot? Any tips, trucks, or suggestions would be appreciated! Thanks!

The store gave up on this guy, got him out of the starter pot and fresh soil itās been a week (guess could be in shock?) but doesnāt seem to be THRIVING yet ā¦ trying to save him! Any recommendations to help me save my Ferrny would be welcomed whole heartedly. Thank you Plant Parent Friendsā£ļø
Can anybody tell me why my fern is shriveling? Iāve never had one before but thought they were okay with less light. I just moved him closer to a window, but idk if thatāll help and Iām clueless with ferns.
Got my rainbow Moss peacock fern a couple weeks ago she was so dry and sad I'm hoping her relieves grow back , it can't really tell but she is a lovely shade of purple blue and green right now šŖ“š„°š I rinser leaves off with the filtered shower head everyday to soak
I just got these two ferns from my agricultural department at my high school but they never watered it, never took any kind of care of it and when I got them they both where laying on their sides. I trimmed off anything that was frail and brown and trimmed off parts of the brown that were on the green leaves. I was just hoping someone or anyone can give me advice on how to take steps forward to maintain the ferns and to look out for anything that might happen. I have another fern that I take care of but is a different species of fern. So I know to drain the water when watering it and that they LOVE water. I just donāt know if there is anything special I should do while trying to revive it. Any help is appreciated!! P.S. I water them today as soon as I was done trimming them!
I have a Boston fern that isā¦ not doing well. It is definitely dehydrated. I used to neglect it until it became like this, and now I intend to rescue it from, whatever you call this. Is there anything tips or other issues that could increase the speed of recovery? Thx.

Help! Iām totally new to plants. I got a Boston fern. Iāve been watering it when the app tells me to. Itās in the pot it came in from the nursery- it looks like itās a 10inch hanging plastic pot. The soil is moist. (Sticks to my fingers when i touch). Should I take it out of the pot and look at the roots? Do I re-pot into something larger? Also- Is it overwatered? Iāve had this under the awning on my front porch, it gets partial shade but mostly sun. We are in Texas.
Hi there! Iām new to caring for a fern and was hoping to get some information. Iāve noticed some extremely wiry, dry parts on the plantātheyāre also quite sharp when cut. Are these old stems or roots? TIA!

So I was wanting to buy t rainbow peacock fern, because I heard it can tolerate or even enjoy shade since I'm running out of Sunny spots LOL and plus I heard that it was a beautiful blue, this is the one my plant lady wants to sell me but it's not blue it's still the Fall colors, but we're in spring? When does it turn blue there's something wrong with it I'm just curious what your thoughts are before I purchase this or go find a blue one off Etsy š„“š©š©·šŖ“

Hii, I just bought a Boston Fern (Tiger) & was wondering how to increase humidity without placing it in a bathroom !! I have a mister atm and was wondering if that would work and if so how often should I mist it !!! š«¶š¼
