I usually keep my calathea medallion away from the window because I don’t want to sunburn her leaves, but on some recent rainy days I put her on the sill. Safe to say she LOVED IT.

hi everyone, this is my calethea ornata. i’ve had this plant for a little over a month and a half and noticed at the bottom of the leaves there are many drops of sticky residue and small grains. i was wondering if this is normal or am i doing something wrong?

My calathea receives filtered light - my snake plants are above her. She looks great on top but the undergrowth is all brown and wilted. I bought a moisture meter and I keep her at about 55 percent humidity. Should I bottom water? I’m confused since both under and overwatering look the same. Help?!?

Hi! I just bought this gorgeous plant at the farmers market on Sunday. It was so healthy and happy I knew I needed to incorporate it to my small plant family. Transportation was a little rough but she held up. Five days later, most of her leaves are sagging and I’m not sure why. She’s in partial sun/shade. The lady told me to water once a week 32 oz. Help! Anyone know what I’m doing wrong?

So I am a new peacock plant mom and I’m stressing out lolll. I’m not sure what’s going on with the plant I don’t know if she’s dying I don’t know if she’s infested. Can somebody help? • why the back of my leaves are sticky and smell very sweet • why am I seeing holes on one of my leaves? And also some Browning on a few of my other leaves • also like this white fuzz that has grown on my plan yet my plants still look healthy

And here’s my Maranta crew! I have such a soft spot for these plants because before I ever knew how to take care of plants properly, these were some of the few plants that would always thrive with me. They would always be big and have blooms. When they died eventually, it was always because they got infested, and I didn’t know how to properly treat plants for bugs without killing the bugs AND the plant 🤣. I decided to try my luck with them again once I started using Planta. So far so good! 😊. I even treated myself to a lemon-lime

My Calathea crew - illustris, rosy and medallion. I bought the Medallion from Home Depot and recently noticed almost all the leaves were sagging. It turned out the soil (I think it’s peat) had become resistant to absorbing water. I’ve had this problem with a couple other plants I bought there over the summer and each time I didn’t notice until they were completely wilted. I should really get in the habit of repotting their plants once I bring them home.

I have been spending some time thinking my maranta has been struggling. A few of the last leaves were very small, a couple browned and didn’t unfurl. Then all the sudden I walk up to my plant today and this is what I see! I didn’t know these flower! Still need to figure out what to do with these browning stems and leaves that stopped growing. But definitely celebrating this little flower right now!

This is my first calathea! When I repotted this morning, I found that she has been in a dense soil in her nursery pot but her roots were actually really healthy. I've also read that these guys like damp soil. But I'm still worried about root rot. I mixed 1 part its original dense soil mix with 1 part of my usual aroid mix.. Should that be okay?

I went to my favorite nursery yesterday for some plant therapy and the whole way there I told myself you’re not buying anymore plants, you’re just looking. lol!!! Who was I kidding?!? 😂 when I saw this little bb there was absolutely no way she wasn’t coming home with me. What a BEAUT!!’ I’ve never seen a Mosiaca before! 😍😍😍

I am so in love with this Stromanthe Triostar! I bought her with lots of crisping, no new growth, root rot, and mealy bugs. In just two weeks I saw massive improvement and root growth. Now, a month later, the first new leaf is fully emerged. I even see a new rhizome growing (I’m using a clear pot)! I included the other picture so you could see the gorgeous magenta backs ✨

Hey!!!!!! Dr. Planta says this is from lime sensitivity… but I only use rain water or distilled. Do y’all think these masks are just from low humidity, or another problem (pest, fungus, etc) Thanks!!!!

Any tips on how I can revive this plant? The leaves have been turning brown and wilting 😭 I cut the brown tips but it’s looking so scarce
