@planta is there a way we could get self-watering pots added to the list of containers? I have mine in an aroid mix in self-watering pots but there’s no option for that. It’s not semi-hydro as there is a medium they are growing in.

My Calathea has recently developed a problem as her leaves have curled and are pointing downward instead of outward, I sent a picture of her former self where she looked normal. She is in a window that gets bright sun 3 to 4 hours a day, and is a foot from the window. Is she getting too much sun? She certainly is not normal right now. TIA for any help you can give me.

Help! I'm new to Calathea and I'm worried about this plant it's leaves have been fading it's lost most of the pink since I got it a little less than 2 weeks ago, it's about 8 feet from a floor to ceiling west facing window in my office, when I got it from the nursery it was soaked, it had just rained the leaves were wet and the soil was very wet I let it dry out and just watered it today, the edges of the leaves feel crispy for some of the leaves but it's just the edge of the leaves. The second photo shows the leaves curling better.

Hi friends! 🪴 I bought this Maranta almost a month ago and it was looking a bit sad a few days later. I noticed the roots growing around the pot with no drainage, so I repotted it in a bigger pot with a drainage hole. It has been in this pot for about 2 weeks now. It is looking a lot better, but still not the best. I am in a college dorm, so lighting is tough. After a few weeks, a new pot, and many scorched leaves, I’ve found my plant has looked happiest completely across the room from the window. It has new leaves that are starting to grow, but it still won’t grow upwards like it was when I bought it. Any tips?

Hi! I got this prayer plant from my dads gf and i currently live in a dorm. i have no space and right next to my bed was the only option. i want to make sure the light is good enough since i know it likes filtered light. currently it’s 9:30am, so is this a good enough spot for the plant or should i find somewhere else? i am a south facing window so typically at the end of the day it gets a bit more sun. any tips would be appreciated 🫶🏻

From no leaves to one leaf with a few more on the way!! I’m actually surprised it bounced back so fast after the cold made everything die down to nearly the roots!!

I found a leaf with an orange spot on it. looked more burnt orange than your average brown spot. would this be something like a rust fungus? I went ahead and cut the leaf off to be on the safe side but would like to know what it is for the future.

so I’ve had this maranta since september 2021 and she looks like she’s thriving at the moment. My problem is that she’s so top heavy and has just one thin stem so nearly the entire plant is falling over the edge of the pot. It also looks like she’s getting a lot of new growth or something in here? what’s my best course of action?
