TRANSPLANT TIPS!!!! I just separated and transplanted this heartleaf and my beloved prayer Plant, I would LOVE tips of how to keep her alive bc I'm so scareddddd 😭😭😭😭 She's already not supporting her own weight, and I know transplanted shock can be the worst

Some of my calatheas 🙏🏻 I aim to give them the best care I can, so I just wanted to ask if there is anything else I should think of? 1. They are under grow lights 2. Humidifier on to keep the rh at 50-60 (grouping them together like I have done raises the humidity level around them a bit more also, like 5-10 % - sure it is a risk for pest to spread to each other but yeah) 3. I use this app to remind me when to water and fertilize, but always check soil first 4. I try to check for pests and once a week I spray them with water and wipe them 5. I recently invested in a fan, to make better air circulation for them (prevent mold and fungus, and also good keeping away pest) I’m so happy that my picturata and leopardina has flowered! Happy to know if there is anything else I should think of? Maybe some good advice for preventing eventual pest? 🙏🏻

Any reason the new baby leaf on my prayer plant would have these browning edges? Is it watering? Humidity? Light? Info: It’s currently in a north facing window with indirect light from an east facing window as well. I just bought a small humidifier to help and I try to keep it moist as I know prayer plants love lots of water.

Just looking for some advice if this is normal or if something is wrong. My lemon lime maranta has a ton of crispy brown edges on the leaves and I repotted it about a week ago because the roots were coming out the bottom of the pot and it definitely needed more space. It’s still giving me new leaves (3 more unfurled today!) and it did have a couple little skinny stalks with flowers (that I have since cut off) but I’m not sure what else this could be? It’s been in the same spot in our house the whole time I have had it and just in the last few months it’s been starting to do this. Any thoughts, comments, ideas welcome! Thanks.

Hello guys! First time Calathea owner here, and need a bit of advice. I noticed that the leaves of my plant form some kind of really sticky residue, especially close to the edges. I can see some dust and other nasty stuff getting stuck in there, and I guess my main question is: is that normal? Should I clean it off or does it like to cover itself in goop?😭 Is this natural or some kind of infection? Is it a light/humidity thing? Thankful for any kind of advice:’)

Spider mites on my Calathea AGAIN! 😭😭😭. Has anyone used alcohol spray on the underside of the leaves to kill the mites? Does that work?

hello, I got this rattlesnake calathea about a month and a half ago and she has been doing very well since then! There were no shoots present when I bought this plant but now two leaf shoots are growing big with many small shoots following along. I can’t get over how good she looks in the first picture! I’m so excited for the new leaves to finally unfurl all the way! My only concern is with the small bottom leaves slowly getting dry and brown before dying off, as seen in the second picture. Why might they be dying? Is there anything I can do to help keep them alive?

Hi everyone! My fiancé bought me a Maui Queen calathea - I've had her for about 4-5 weeks. I adore her but I'm worried she's suddenly doing this with the leaves :( she also had two separate plantlets come through and they went brown and died before the leaf even started to unfurl. I think what may have done it was a cold draught as the temperature dropped and it was near a door. I've moved her out of harms way now. Any advice on what to do now? She is sat with 6 other calatheas, mist every night, ensure soil is moist, distilled water, indirect light...

Hi Everyone! I’m excited to share my brand new prayer plant; I’ve never had one before, so I’m hoping you can share some tips to help her grow! Also, if you have any name ideas, I’d love to hear them. Right now, she’s on my floor under a grow light that’s about 1-3 feet away. She’s also near my humidifier, as I’ve read they really enjoy high humidity. The soil mix in her pot is a blend I made based on what I’ve learned about what they prefer.

What else should I be doing! 😩 Miss peacock was fine during the summer and now she’s hating life. It’s dryer due to the weather so I added a humidifier. I water her with distilled water, indirect sun, not by any vents. I just want her to live ☹️
