This is the 1st prayer plant I’ve ever owned. I got her in May (1st picture) and she seems to be doing well. She is flowering and making lots of new leaves. My question is are they supposed to spread out like this (2nd pic)? Do I need to be doing anything else for her?
First photo is when I first got my prayer plant and then now. I’ve repotted it in this pot where I can water it on the side. Also mixed in some cactus soil with the original soil. Any tips? I don’t feel like she’s thriving since I’ve gotten her.

I figured out how to keep my Calathea Jungle Velvet happy finally! I build a budget table top greenhouse. I purchased a jungle velvet and the leaves were curling as soon as I got it, it nearly died. I purchased a second one because I thought I would loose the first one. Got the greenhouse while waiting for the second plant. The humidity was the issue!
Mantis, my prayer plant, has flowered! Isn’t he charming and delightful? I was totally amazed to see them today as they were so unexpected! I think he’s thriving!
Maranta: too much water or just natural leaf death?
What’s happening to her 🥺 planta says thrips likely but I don’t see ANY. Or overwatered but I’ve watered per schedule, maybe not enough sun? Should I take it out of its decorative pot? helppp please!
Anyone have experience with Calathea Jungle Velvet? I just got one less than a week ago, immediately had leaf curling. I watered it, added a pebble tray, put under a grow light and it’s continued to wilt. Lost several leaves. Humidity has been at least 50%. I think I’m going to loose this plant! I ordered another one in case I do.
Hi guys! This is my first post and I’m new to owning indoor plants and one of the first plants I’ve fallen in love with turns out to be a big drama queen!! I love love LOVE the colors of this calathea and have the white fusion calathea on my wishlist to get also. I even found a big ‘calathea hagbergii’ (I think that’s what it is, looks close enough) in public the other day and stopped to admire the color on the leaves and my husband thought I was crazy🤣 Many people mention they can’t keep them alive for longer than a month so I’m hoping I can keep it happy. It has almost opened 2 new leaves (as pictured ) in the week I’ve had it. It is right in front of an east window, I’ve watered it about 7 days apart when completely dry, and mist almost every day because it is by air vent. Also got it on a rock bed to help with humidity. There have been a few spots becoming see through so in thinking I need to move it a little further away from window. Any other tips or tricks for this guy? Also let me know your favorite plants and what I should look into or buy to start building my collection! Thanks for your time love💕🌻🪴

Just sharing my two prayer plants. Grace on the left and Ruby on the right (with the pinkish coloring). Still fairly new but I think they’re doing really well. I will eventually repot Ruby to a more permanent home. I have a total of 9 plants so far. Prayer plants are definitely turning out to be a favorite of mine. 🤗

I really really reallyyyy want to get a prayer plant, and was wondering are they easy to keep alive or are they finicky?
