My rattlesnake plant’s newer leaves are coming in with green backs and then gradually getting some of the beautiful burgundy to start showing. Is this normal? I’m completely new to this plant and being a plant mom, in general. I included a picture showing the position of my grow light. Too far? Too close? Just right? I have a container of water under the plant for humidity.

0 likes Honestly I’m not sure now that I’m thinking about it 🤔 I had some new leaves come in recently and I think they came in with burgundy backs ….
1 like … I asked Google and turns out leaves are supposed to emerge with the backs already purple. Keep and eye on it. How’s the plants health otherwise? How long is the grow light on for every day?
0 likes The grow light is on for 12 hours daily. I’m going to move it closer to the grow light and see if that helps. Otherwise, the plant looks healthy. No browning or crunchy leaves… just green backs :(

My plant starts burgundy then green on bottem and then burgundy again, the leaves look healthy

Mine all come in with the purple backs. Could be not enough light.
Going to try moving it closer to the light. I guess we’ll see :)
