Any ideas for keeping cats out of garden beds? I have two and there’s a couple strays in the neighborhood and they all seem to think that my beds (raised and in-ground) are litter boxes😭🫠

This is my cat Mia. She loves to explore all the plants in my house, including mine in my room. I always just keep my door shut when I’m out so she can’t get in but then it gets hot and sometimes I don’t want it closed. I do have some plants that are toxic to cats but I know she’s tried to eat at least one or two of them and she’s been perfectly fine, but I don’t want her eating my plants. We tried cat grass but that didn’t work and it eventually died. I used to have a spider plant, one tiny ugly one and another one I was propagating in water. She’d always eat them up so I gave up on them, but maybe I should give her her own spider plant to chew in my room instead of my other plants? Any advice would be appreciated 😭 don’t want my plants ruined and don’t want her eating toxic things

My mom had a dog named Violet who passed away at the age of 15. My aunt gave her an African violet to remember her by. After a while the violet wasn’t doing so well so I took over the care of her. I repotted her and moved her to the east facing window. She’s flowering now and has at least 10 more buds that should bloom soon. We still miss her so much.

I’m a new plant parent, this is my Chinese Money plant and my black void baby, Ivy ❤️ I bought a 3 pack of plants from Costco, repotted in clear nursery pots with a mix of soil and drainage material. Wish me luck!

Need some help to ID what these are. I’m finding them in my catch trays and in the water after I’ve bottom watered. They are almost microscopic. Both photos are taken with my phone on full zoom through a magnifying glass. I’ve tried many image searches and all it comes back with are ticks. But I know that’s not it. They don’t seem to fly, and move at “average” speed (not really slow but not really fast). I haven’t found them on any plants, and the plants that they’re in the soil of don’t seem to be affected in any way.

I would love to get another pothos or a philodendron but they aren’t pet friendly and this guy puts EVERYTHING in his mouth. I have one pothos that he can’t get to but I also have to make sure when I water it that no leaves accidentally fall off. Anyone else unable to have plants that aren’t pet friendly? Just repotted and divided my monstera!! I’ve had her for a year and knew that she was multiple plants in one pot, but wasn’t expecting this. I knew it was time when some of the leaves started to grow up and over the others (as you can see in the left most pots in these pictures lol) I am feeling really nervous about the next few days and making sure they stay alive but trying to be optimistic! Most of the pots have 1 large plant and 1-2 smaller in them. Some of them I could not tell where the front and back were. I think that after being over crowded in a small pot they started to grow in weird directions out of necessity. Hopefully now that they have their own space they will start to settle. Also need to get some more poles for them since I was not expecting it to be as many plants as it was! Let me know how it looks and what we think! (I put a before picture as the last one)

My ficus Benjamina has these singular white specks. I thought it might be a pest but can’t figure it out. They dont move and mostly found at the base of a leaf. I sprayed with soapy neem oil mixture and let it sit for a few days in quarantine but I’m still finding these things on some of the leaves. Any ideas?
