Any suggestions on how to prevent my cats from chewing on the leaves? Of course I have all safe plants in the areas they access, but I would love to prevent my calathea orbifolia from becoming completely demolished if I can help it. Iâve seen stuff on Google about spritzing with citrus or vinegar, using chili powder, etc but wanted some insight on if these are good ideas or if Iâll just be wasting my time or even harming the plant. So I want to get a little pothos or a Chinese money plant but theyâre both toxic to pets and my cat lives with me in a dorm with 3 roommates. Heâs been pretty good about not eating my plants but Iâm worried these are more leafy and he might bite them. Is it safe to have them and keep them out of reach from him or should I just get something else? Heâs ten and pretty mellow so he really usually doesnât get hyper and chomp on em Iâm just a bit worried since these are toxic.

Hoping for some recommendations from this group. :) We have three dogs, two of which are big dogs and very sloppy drinkers. Despite having their water bowl on a tray on a rug, they still dribble everywhere. Iâm considering making a âwater bowl planterâ similar to the pics Iâve added here. Iâm hopeful their curiosity about the plants will cause them to linger long enough to dribble there. :P Many of the examples Iâve found seem to use succulents but Iâd like a leafier mix of pet safe plants, ideally mixing up heights, colors, and textures. Which are your favorites? (Photo of my sad little water bowl plus examples of âwater bowl plantersâ found online.)
