The first flowers on my nepenthesâ favorite companion, Haraella Odorata (Retrocallus)! Iâll try to get some better shots. Surprisingly hard to get decent photos, and theyâre very delicate. I know I definitely need to refresh the spagnum itâs in and thereâs a bit of white something growing on the wood mount-I have poured hydrogen peroxide over it, used fungicide everything I can think of and itâs unchanged oh well. Conditions are 65f at night 75f during the day, 12hrs indirect bright full spec, and very importantly humidity stays over 60%. I water whenever the roots looked silvery or the spag dried out sometimes itâs everyday. Very easy going despite being a bit picky about humidity. đ€
Dendrobium âKyle Qunitalâ This one has been in bloom for two years with no rest. It really started ramping up and pushing out flowers this month. Just covered in blooms. Itâs lovely and I am happy itâs so happy but⊠I have noticed they have an odor. Kinda like bug spray. I am reminded of the old Raid commercials every time I get a whiff of them. At least it doesnât smell like rotted meat. So thatâs a win?
Small swirly leaf on Miltoniopsis? đ±đż

I donât know if you guys remember my prev post but I got 2 orchids that were on their way out from a neighbor . One is doing great 1st pic the 2nd one not so much 2nd pic as of today . Iâm not really sure what to do here . Do I cut the leaf off & treat it different ? I added the 3rd pic so you can see the roots . I did remove a few that were a little squishy Iâm a noob to orchids but donât think thatâs a good sign for any plant . I did look on line & itâs usually about orchids without roots so Iâm not really sure where to go from here since it has roots . For the record Iâve only been watering when the roots look grey/white . Ty in advance. Last pic is the before of both
Donât give up! We have had this orchid for about 3 years. It was not in the best shape when we got it and it has not done anything since. We continued to care for it for years AND thereâs a new leaf growing! I couldnât believe it! I had to stare at it for 10 minutes convincing myself it was really happening. So happy we did not give up! Note- she needs a little dusting đ
Admiring herself in the mirror
Pic for reference. Weâve had a couple posts lately about spots on zygopetalum leaves. Iâve moved mine out of the window it had been in to reduce some of the light it had been getting, and sprayed with Garden Safe brand âFungicide 3â twice, a week between treatments. So far, I havenât noticed any spread, particularly on the young leaves unfurling from the newest pseudobulb⊠I may do one more treatment this week.
Hi what kind of orchid is mine, the store tag says:brasidium golden gamine, a reliable app I use (PictureThis) told me it was a clamshell orchid I want to put it in water culture and Iâm looking for guidance on that.
Hey! So I recently got a plant let of a ghost orchid! Ooo rare So Iâm wondering whatâs the best way to mount orchids. My questions are mainly what moss to use, and does it matter if itâs alive or dried, and what bark will last a long time without rotting. It takes several years to mature so I need a mount that wonât rot. Thanks!
Hey everyone, Iâm new here. I just bought my first Cattleya orchid yesterday at Loweâs. This is how her roots are looking. The leaves themselves are green and sturdy. I want to give this one the best chance so I wanted to know any of your guyâs tips on watering.
Does anyone know, when your orchids start growing new stalks in preparation for new flowers, can you control which way they grow? Mine seem to like to grow horizontal. So Iâm wondering, when theyâre from the store, why and how do they grow vertically? Do they manually make them grow that way or is it dependent on the plant itself?
Any recommendations on how I can revive this orchid I found on the Loweâs clearance rack? The top of the stem was completely dead, but there is a small new growth coming out so I cut right above that. Should I just chop the whole thing off so it can focus energy on regrowing roots? The leaves are really floppy too âčïž
I posted prob a week or so ago about 2 Orchids I acquired from a neighbor . So up date they are doing good but this one is recovering way faster .
Hey all! I just bought this orchid and was wondering if you could help ID it, the pot says âPhalaenopisâ it has fragrance and the leaves look spotted! Thanks in advance âșïž any care tips are welcome!
