Thanks so much for that info! Iāve never thought about Loweās for plant supplies although Iāve heard several people mention they get plants from thereā¦two good reasons I need to go there! Thanks for the tip. šššŖ“

1 gillaItās a little more pricey, but if only to see their other repotting supplies, I would check out repotme.comās phalaenopsis blends. They are such good quality that I find I donāt need to repot as soon as I do with other brands- 3 years easily before they start to break down. You will also want to buy an interior insert for whatever decorative pot you might be using. Best suggestion by far is a well ventilated, orchid specific clear plastic pot. You can keep an eye on the roots and it easily slips in and out of your ceramic pot (or whatever youāre using) for watering, health inspections, etc. Before you repot, definitely come back for extra tips from the group- itāll save little mistakes or repotting again later. The Oasis has some seriously reliable advice.
2 gillningarOh, my goodness! You certainly gave me some clear and concise and complete info. Thank you so much for the time you spent in posting this to me. I will definitely check out repotmeās site, but can you give me an idea of what would be the best potting soil from their brand? I already have the plastic orchid insert that youāre talking about, but I need some good tips on the ins and outs of repotting an orchid. If you have the time, I would certainly like to hear from you. I will also send a post to the group as you suggested. Thanks so much! šššŖ“
1 gillaAs far as which blend to use⦠it will really depend on your orchid and your environment. If itās still in the original nursery pot/medium, itās going to be used to being in pretty dense, and therefore moist medium. So I might transition to a phalaenopsis mix with a little more sphagnum moss. But youāll still want to keep it very airy and light when you are putting it in the pot- not super packed. Iāll comment some more tips on your post above, but wanted to keep this info by your question about which blend. ā¤ļø
