I’m giving a shot at mounting orchids onto another plant for the first time. Wrapped the roots around the branches of my dragon tree and covered in moss. What is the best option in Planta for “pot type” so that I get the best schedule? No pot?
Yeeeees… but… I would not go by planta’s schedule for watering. It is far too generic. Your home may be more humid than mine, your moss more absorbent, your orchid hybrid may be a super prolific bloomer that needs a LOT more water. Your best bet is to water when your roots tell you. They will determine their best schedule. If the roots are green, don’t spray them. If they are silver or whitish, give them a drink. Certainly, when orchids are mounted, they will need to be watered WAY more often than when potted.
