Wilting leaves :( did I do something wrong? Also this flower has been perky since I got it in March as a gift. Just few days ago, May 16, noticed the flower dying off and bottom leaves looking sad. I thought the flower would last a little longer than 2 months?That new shoot (is that what’s it’s called?) coming out just below where the flower is, just barely grew and looks like it will blossom soon-ish so I’m hoping I’m doing okay but not sure. Help?

0 likesNeeds water. Soak it in lukewarm water for 5-10 minutes, then let it fully drain for a few minutes. Never use ice cubes as it’s not enough water and tropical plants don’t ever encounter ice. I would also recommend poking lots of holes in the pot for air flow, but you can also buy orchid pots with holes in them. Dont repot until all the buds have bloomed and fallen off but that’s a good opportunity to check the roots and freshen the medium. I’ve had the best luck with small bark chips.

If all the flowers wither just keep watering it and give it time and it should flower again
