Hi! My friend recently got an orchid, and was having some issues so I wanted to post on here and ask if anyone knows what to do. The orchid is pretty new, and continuing to flower, but some of the tiny buds are turning yellow and the leaves are getting droopy. Does it just need to be watered? Thanks for the help!
Too little or too much water can cause both. The roots should be allowed to dry out before watering. Dry roots are silvery. Don’t water if the roots are green. Another possible issue could be bud blast. It happens for a variety of reasons, but since this is a new plant it’s most likely due to adjusting to a new environment, especially if it was exposed to very cold temperatures during transit.
