Any recommendations on how I can revive this orchid I found on the Lowe’s clearance rack? The top of the stem was completely dead, but there is a small new growth coming out so I cut right above that. Should I just chop the whole thing off so it can focus energy on regrowing roots? The leaves are really floppy too ☹️

MissOrchidGirl on YouTube is a great resource for reviving orchids

Highly recommend Miss orchid girl as well. If your orchid is dehydrated, and you really want it to focus on its general health, yes, I would cut off the flower spike entirely. The chances of you getting blooms now are not great on an already depleted orchid. If you’re looking for long-term health, let it focus its energy on leaves and roots.
