My stepmomâs beautiful waterlily popped out a chimera colored bloom! đ€© Itâs so gorgeous. It had already closed up for the day by the time I got there to see it myself, but I was told it was practically glowing in person. I forgot to take a picture but there was also a lily pad that was half variegated, half plain green. I just think plant genetics are so dang cool! Usually this plant has flowers that look like the pink speckled side with red variegated leaves

picked up this desert rose and itâs my first time having one of them. iâve watched many videos on pruning these so they become more full and have more flowers, but iâm still very confused by it. iâve seen people cut the branches short and the plant has no leaves at all, and then it grows more a couple weeks later. is that literally what you do? i donât want to cut the stems and have absolutely zero leaves for a couple weeks or it ends up dying, but if thatâs the way, then i will have to.

I can recommend Crossandra âOrange Marmaladeâ as a reliable daily bloomer all spring and summer. Itâs hardy in zones 10 and 11. It dies very well in pots when the weather warms up. Iâve had one in a planter for over a year. I take it inside during a hard freeze. It t propagates very easily. Just pinch of a three inch piece and push it directly into soil, pushing a leaf node below the soil. I donât even remove the lower leaves. It roots very quickly and produces flowers within a few weeks.

went off to uni not three weeks ago and it started flowering the morning i left⊠missed the first wave of flowers but mum pruned the dead ones and now thereâs lots of baby flowers!! maybe theyâll be opening by next weekend when iâm home âșïž
