I live in Michigan and have a rose bush that was planted before I moved into my house. It does well as do most rose bushes in mid-Michigan do. But Planta is telling me that I need to uproot it and bring it inside because our winters are too cold. I have noticed Planta says similar things for some other perennials that clearly thrive in Michigan’s climate. Am I doing something wrong with the outdoor/in-ground planted plants that cause these alerts? Or is Planta wrong? Or are these plants just anomalies? Thanks!

    Planta is not always right, roses survive many winters and this one has proven it!

      I figured it was just an error and Plantas side, but I also just added it and assumed I could have done something wrong in that process 😂

    Planta doesn’t understand the Great Lakes environment. I grew up in southwest Michigan. Roses survive lake effect snow.

    My grandmother lives in Central Michigan and has never uprooted her rose bushes. They’re planted right in front of the house in the mulched, east facing garden. They flower every year!!

      Mine do the same! I just said they were potted to get rid of the warnings 😂
