Iâm searching for aphids on new plants so I have been looking at them with a magnifying glass. My summer savory has little bumps on the stems. Are they points from which the stem might propagate? Or some burrowing plant killer?

Are these cuts ok ?
Attempting to propagate a money tree. Iâve had this in water for 2 weeks. Thereâs a white filming substance that is around it but not sure if thatâs the growth hormone coming in to help or bad? Also Iâm assuming these white dots are roots starting but not certain, any advice? New to this world but loving it!!
Thank you to the advice offered on dealing with mold in my seedlings! Somewhat unfortunately, only 1/2 affected cells managed to survive that infection. Now that it's been over a couple of weeks, are these seedlings ready to step up to bigger planting pots?
Iâve had this plant propagating in water for a while now. Itâs got a few good long roots and is even putting out new leaves. I believe itâs a philodendron but I was told it was a Pothos when I got the mother plant (picture attached) My question is, should I pot it in soil now or leave it in water and is this a Pothos or philodendron? The last two pictures are what it used to look like back in December, before I split the plant.
I had a large coleus for years that randomly died. I removed the plant from the pot but kept the soil. I just noticed today that a baby coleus is sprouting up. The pot is very large, at least a foot or more. Should I move this baby to a smaller pot or keep it there?
hey guys so i have this pothos prop and itâs been growing algae more than my others in the same area. it attempted to grow a new leaf but it got caught in the water so rotted, and the roots have been looking not great either. i swapped the pitcher completely and put peroxide in it, i havenât trimmed the roots though. itâs just weird considering thereâs an identical pitcher with props in it right next to it that hasnât grown algae or had rot, makes me wonder if the pothos is the issue.
Hey Iâm new here and just wondering if I did this right? I tried to propagate mint, polka dot plant and Petra croton đ
I want to cut back the tallest leaf from the plant in the picture on the left and use it to make cuttings. That leaf is very different from ALL the others. It grew from nothing to tallest in very little time, itâs a little thinner and the base is very thin. The other leaves havenât changed that much in two years and they have wide bases at the soil line. What is the tall, skinny, fast-growing leaf and will it make a good leaf for propagation? This is my first attempt. Iâm going to cut the leaf off anyway so I have nothing to lose, but on the other hand I want to try to create more plants that look like the original, with nice wide leaves. The photo from two years ago has the yardstick. The strange leaf is in the other picture. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thank you! Apologies for possible confusion. Thereâs a k-pop concert at the stadium nearby and itâs a lot of chaos around.
Update on the lemon Treesđđ±: All 9 have sprouted and a few have some impressive leaves
GUYSsSsS im getting a Hoya soon from my teacher can yall tell me how to propagate itđ
Hello! I received a string of pearls for my birthday and have managed to kill most of the plant. I have one string hanging on for dear life that has generated some new growth. Any tips for trying to save/restart this guy? Thanks!
I feel like a grandmother rn :â) Decided to propagate this bare pothos vine back in December and look how far theyâve come! Hoping to get them in some soil soon when the roots get more hearty
I have a String of Turtles I would like to propagate, anyone have hints as to how to do this?
This little guy has had some trouble in the past and suddenly flopped over. I snipped off the ends and plopped them in this glass container w/river rocks and water. My question is: will he be fine with this set up or do I need to get semi-hydro-whatever instead?
hi !! iâm new(ish) in the plant game, or have re-entered recently. i have a 5ft money tree (that omg i just got for $10 on fb marketplace) and am trying to propagate a couple little shoots from it! i have no idea what iâm doing honestly. iâve propagated succulents before cause those are easy, but iâve really been wanting to try this and see! so any tips, tricks, advice would be GREATLY appreciated :))
howdy! today my ceramics teacher was giving away some of her plants, so i took one home with me. iâm pretty sure itâs some sort of poulka dot begonia plant, but im not sure. no roots, so we have it soaking in water right now. does anybody know how i should care for this? what kind of soil does it need? how long does it take for the roots to grow off of a fresh snip? when should i repot her? itâs such a gorgeous plant and the leaves seem very healthy so i donât want to mess this up, as iâve just recently started taking care of plants
Growing three varieties of okra; noticed two cells have this white stringy stuff on them, which I assume to be fungi? Now I know this potting soil has beneficial fungi in it, so should I let them chill or take action?
Can this plant live in water forever or should I move it to soil soon?
Iâve never propagated anything but pothos before, so Iâm SUPER happy to see all of my string props have new growth! String of pearls, dolphins, and hearts (? Not quite heart shapedâŠ)
