Oki two questions. 1) if I am growing a plant in water and plan to keep it there do I need to give it fertilizer for nutrients? 2) does anyone do this, if so what fertilizer do you use? Iâve heard of people using slow release fertilizer but I donât know which one to get.

Help ! đ Iâve had string of pearls once, this is my second and I kill them everytime ! Last time I think I over watered and this time I think I underwatered ! đ the pot is super shallow I repotted the cuttings so these are cuttings and I donât think theyâre taking đ„Č I clipped what was still good and healthy and repotted, I watered when I repotted and they donât seem to be taking. I think this plant might be too delicate for me đ
Can I put my pileas in soil now???

Hi everyone! I have these elephant bushes that were given to me in pretty bad condition. They've been getting better but a lot of the branches are super lanky like the ones pictured. I've been trimming and propagating the pieces, would it be a good idea to plant the rooted props in the areas of empty soil to make the plant thicker overall?? Or should I just keep trimming and waiting for new growth?? Thank you!!
Hi all! I successfully propagated this prayer plant but am not sure what to do next.. My dad came to visit yesterday and seems to think I need to trim a leaf or two as the roots wonât be able to support new leaves coming up.. opinions? Also, when is it ready to plant in soil? What soil type? Sorry for the many questions! So new to thisđ«Ł
Hello fellow plant lovers! This branch of my tomatoes was torn off the plant by accident. Is there any hope in propagating it? There are a few clusters of tomatoes on it and itâd be great to save somehow. Iâve never done propagation before. Thank you!
How long do nanouks take to start having roots? Iâve been moving other props in with mine to see if itâll help, but Iâm getting a little discouraged. Nanouk on the left, pellonia on the right.
Iâm pretty sure this is the right group for this, so here we go - i have a problem with impulsively taking the babies off my spider plant and throwing them in water when i see that they are a specific size lol. i have about 5 right now that are propagating in water. 2 or 3 of them are at the point where their roots are long enough to plant them in soil, but i donât have enough pots to give them each their own. If i plant all 5 of them in, say, a 5-6 inch pot, will they get too cramped and have issues? or do spider plant enjoy being cramped? any feedback or ideas are greatly welcome :)
Iâm not sure if this is a good length to pot yet? Any advice ?
I am looking for recommendations on what I can plant on the side of my house. Iâm very new to gardening so I need something tough đ but also safe for pets because we have outside pets. The side of the house Iâm wanting to plant on doesnât get much sun thought the day. Iâd say by early afternoon itâs shaded over. Iâm having a hard time finding something that doesnât require full sun. Iâm also in the Midwest if that helps. I was planning on moving my lavender to that spot but I didnât realize that it needs full sun so I will have to move it to my other garden đ
Should ficus roots (mine is a Ficus benghalensis "Audrey") look this red? I'm water propagating it. Most pics online are white or a bit orange (which is where mine started out) but this is like hot cheeto red now lol
So excited! I left my pineapple propagation for the weekend and come back to see heâs sprouted 4 little roots!!

I propagated a monstera deliciosa and Iâm seeing two areas with root growth! Only the top one has an aerial root and the bottom one doesnât, could I cut it and grow another plant with just the bottom roots or do I need that aerial root above?
I got this propagated mother of thousands about 6 months ago⊠it was growing new leaves fine. But recently now that the new leaves are growing, the leaves below it are dying off and now itâs just the base and the new leaves left. I donât water super often (2-3 weeks maybe), itâs in a NE facing window, and the soil is a succulent mix I got from the nursery but was wondering if anyone had any suggestions to save it? Is there a way to propagate what I have left?
Anyone know how I can propagate a monstera deliciosa (Swiss cheese plant)? I would love a new Monsty baby!
