Should ficus roots (mine is a Ficus benghalensis "Audrey") look this red? I'm water propagating it. Most pics online are white or a bit orange (which is where mine started out) but this is like hot cheeto red now lol

    Just for context, I pruned back my ficus with no intention of propagating but I thought "why not." So I won't be disappointed if this doesn't turn out

    It seems to be pretty happy and it doesn’t look like root rot to me. You’re doing great! I’m sure the root coloration is just due to harsh chemicals in tap.

    I didn’t mean to read this, but I believe red, hanging aerial roots are expected lol.
