Avocados in Georgia! Hereâs my favorite plant from the garden patch we have here at home and just look at those beautiful leaves. Sheâs thriving!!
Tiny succulent corner! I got a free prop haul from Loweâs back in September (with permission from an employee) and theyâve all been doing great. There were roughly three leaves that ended up only putting out roots and never sprout, which is pretty normal and I ended up getting lucky.
Story time- My trandescantia journey has been an arduous one. I took a clipping from my roommates room. She was in a west facing window and grew to be so big. She got super leggy and I was propping right into into soil, seemed to work. I moved and had her in north facing window, she thrives⊠then died back. Then I moved and had her in a south west facing window⊠she died completely. Two times Iâve cut back and propped in water and they grow and thennnnn they die. I am doing one last Hail Mary for the two cuttings I have left and trying perlite and water. I think I may hate this plant⊠I want to love her but sheâs just too picky. Wish me love and indirect light! đđ±đ«§
Happy Friday everyone!, So I need validation, tips, and tricks for seeds. I have some seeds including: vegetables, tea herbs, and legumes. And I was wondering what is the best way to go out planting them. I think this time around Iâm going to put them in a wet paper towel and bag so they can germinate. But after they are ready so I just sprinkle them in a pot of seed soil and water them regularly or is there any other steps Iâm missing? Thank you for your help!
Hi there, I just bought Rapid Rooter root plugs to try out for the first time. They came moist but do I still water them or just leave as is until enough roots form to stick the plug into soil? Another question, Iâm trying to grow seeds, do I let the soil completely dry out before re watering or keep it moist always before it sprouts? Very new to playing with plants, thanks in advance!
Not expecting much, I stuck a piece of my broken off Boat Lily in a glass jar, and sheâs doing so well! Look at her wee flower! đž
Iâm propagating my umbrella plant and it wants to put all its energy into growing a baby instead of growing roots đđ€Šđœââïž. Priorities are clearly not straightđ
I posted on here only 3 DAYS ago about my new seed set up, and theyâre ALREADY SPROUTING!!! Like wow! Weâve had nothing but rain and clouds for a couple weeks and they apparently really liked the bi polar weather đđ, in here there are: Romain Lettuce, A Gourmet Greens Mix, pumpkins, Bibb Lettuce, Mustard Greens, and Iceberg Lettuce! Thereâs also carrots but they havenât sprouted quite yet, but still super happy!!
Hey there. Do you think this setup is okay for growing some roots on my monstera leaf?
So I just got a monstera stem that was cut the closest it could be cut to the node of the mother plant. What is the best way to help my monstera grow some roots?
Bought some rotting peaches a month ago. Deshelled them and stuck em in the fridge. Finally saw some roots yesterday, so into the solo cups they go! Itâs my first time growing fruits, Iâm v excited!
Iâve tried several times to grow herbs from seed, but every time I water the pressure from the water knocks them over like this. I poked holes in a plastic water bottle top to make it a weaker stream, but still this is how they end up every time. Any suggestions??
What do y'all think I should do with this monstera? I bought it from someone on Facebook and when I got it home repotted it because the pot was way too big and surprise surprise, root rot. Should I leave it as is and try to propagate it or should I need to accept defeat and cut up the plant to just nodes and start this cutting over? It has no roots, the stems are pretty weak (I suspect they chopped it up into smaller plants and left it with low light) I've had it in moist perlite for about 1.5 weeks and I know it takes a while for root to grow but already chopped this plant up from another weak steam growth. This is my first time propagating so trying to do it right and save this monstera What are the yellow looking nodes? I didn't notice those when I first got it and inspected the plant
Does anyone know of any good organic potting soil brands? Is the Planta brand one good? I have to repot one of my plants, but Iâm really worried about fungal gnats or purchasing rotted soil.
Will the Planta app correctly schedule water changes/nutrients etc for water propagation? Iâve only done soil but I want to try water, so I donât know what Iâm doing/should be looking for other than the insane spread of information online.
Hi, new here. OK so, I have a LOT of little pieces from various succulents. I read to just lay them in soil and mist them every couple of days, but I just donât think anything is happening. Any suggestions?
I have these two plants I was hoping to propagate. One is a haworthia and the other is a snake plant. Any recommendations if water or soil would be better? Any recommendations are very much appreciated :) Iâm still really new at this
When I looked up how to propagate this guy it said to cut and put in water but itâs looking a little weirdâŠis this normal? Should I keep waiting or transfer to soil? Itâs been about a week and the water was completely new when I put them in this jar. They went in at the same time but the middle cutting seems to be collecting way more water.
Made a new set up with some left over macrame yarn for my seeds! I think itâs a cute way to keep them up, in the sunlight, and out of the way! đ„° (itâs very shady rn cause itâs about to storm, I promise they get TONS of sunlight normally!)
