chopped a good bit off of my pink princess ✂️ propagating in water!
I'm trying to propogate some burro's tail succulent leaves and one tiny stem that fell off. Any advice on how I would do that?
Here’s Muscle again, my beautiful toddler Muscadine Grape vine. I was just looking for tips on how exactly to cut him. I’m new to the plant parenting thing and I’d love to learn to grow grapes, and I remember hearing from somewhere that grape vines need to be cut or ‘pruned’. Just looking for advice on how exactly to do that for when the time comes…
Found this fun pot on Amazon to propagate my Brasil plant in
hey y’all i’ve had this money plant for a while now and i’m thinking about propagating it, but i don’t know how to, so any tips would be helpful! thanks!
I’m very excited everyone! This is my first attempt at propagating a monstera and I can’t believe it worked. Now the hard part is knowing when it’s ready to be potted. Any and all suggestions to help this baby thrive are welcome!
After months of waiting…. It’s happening!!!!
So proud of my pink princess cutting 🫶
Finally 😭
Greetings plant family, I have a question. Do you have people that try to pinch off a piece of your plants when they come to visit? I have a friend that I won’t let visit me because they feel like they can just take a piece of my plants. Asking sometimes and not asking sometimes. I do not want anyone’s hands on my babies! What would you do? I don’t want any of my plants to die because of someone’s greed. Also the person is not good with plants. Any suggestions? Thanks!
I place this cutting a few months ago and i noticed its growing a pup now, my question is should i just leave it or take it out and plant it in soil, its fully submerged in water
Hello! i just joined, but thought I'd share one of the more interesting propagating facts I learned from my grandpa. You can propagate an african violet just from a leaf. I have two right now, one is a propagation from my grandpa and the other is a propagation of a propagation. (Yes they need pruning🫣)
I feel like i need to remove The bigger ones into their own Pots because I feel like they might be getting to much water because the smaller ones are still coming in. Should i Move them Or leave them? When do i stop Keeping them moist? I know im supposed to Keep them alone Until they have atleast 4 Leaves but im just Paranoid the bigger ones will Get Too much water.
Here are my willow tree cuttings from when I pruned a couple of branches! I cut them about 3 days ago and so far the leaves are still standing strong and haven’t started wilting. So excited for them to root! I’m thinking of giving some away to family and friends and probably sell the rest if there’s some left over!!
Just propagated these friends from some cuts off my friends thriving plant! I’m not sure if I have the correct species- they don’t look completely like the pictures planta has. They almost look like a succulent type to me? Anywho… I’m looking for some tips on how to grow my new guys! I can only dream of have this pot become as full and luscious as my friends mother plant!
My baby sun rose has been my best friend and the only plant I’ve been able to grow this well. Although it’s never made flowers, I’m not really sure why that is. It got too big for its pot so I just moved it to a bigger one 2 days ago so he can stretch his legs. I made a few cuts to try to spread my guy out a little bit. The leaves aren’t as glossy and firm as they usually are, I’m sure he’s just in shock. I’m looking for any advice on how to help him thrive again! How often should I water/fertilize if it’s a new home and new soil?
Hiii, I’m new to planting seeds, I’ve always had plants that were a little past the seedling stage. I just planted some garden sage seeds and wondering if any one has an advice on how to help it thrive. I have it in a terrarium, made a good drainage layer, and gave it plenty of room for the roots to grow.
So you can grow a plant from a pineapple top!! This one has been here 3 days and already has these little roots. It's really easy to do, simply grab the leaves, twist it off the fruit, peel the bottom 4-7 layers of leaves or untill you see little brown stubs between them, and then put it in a jar so the stubs touch the water. They will grow into roots and they actually will not grow secondaries well until they're in soil so you can just plant them as soon as they're an inch long. It blooms for me every few months and the blooms are red and last a while. You can pollinate them to make fruit if you have more than 1 plant, too! The whole thing smells faintly of piña colada and is all in all really pretty. Bright inderect light and water twice a week as it is a rainforest plant!!
2nd mango seed finally sprouted! I think I may have planted it upside down 😳🤣
