Any tips on snake plant props?
How can I get seeds from a Carolina reaper that hasn’t sprouted? How do I get seeds from thyme, lavender, and a Venus fly trap?
Hi! I’m looking for information and advice. I recently received five rooted inch plants (T. zebrina) in the mail. I planted them separately to test different locations to see which conditions in which this plant performs best. This is my only one located outside. Her stem had grown to include two new nodes (the fastest growth along with one other location). She is the most advanced in putting out what I think are new stems and the only one putting out what I think are roots. She has a stick-looking spider friend that blends in well with her furthest inter-node space. Is she putting out roots because she isn’t getting enough water? She’s in a pot without drainage (I know how terrible that is now 🤦🏻♀️) so I’m being very careful with her watering. My ultimate goal is to drill some holes in the bottoms of her container (it has a little mesh in the bottom for water to drain into and a layer of rocks at the bottom, but I know she would do better with actual drainage and possibility for air flow. Does anyone have any other advice or information?
My babies are growing so beautifully. Will have to break one of them out lol 🤭. Can’t wait to plant them.
My white princess fell over because I’m a DA 😭 please telll me that it can magically be propagated. I just might be sick over this
Hey friends. I’m a novice propagator and I usually prop in water and move all my props to a generic houseplant soil mix… I’m looking to get a bit more specific with what each plant prefers soil-wise, but I confess it’s a bit overwhelming and I don’t really know where to start without buying like 25 different mediums to mix and I don’t have the storage space for that. Any guidance and tips would be greatly appreciated! TIA 💚
Are these 2 pothos and the mini monstera ready to be potted??
Wow🥹 This is two weeks of root growth!
Has anyone ever successfully propagated a pineapple top? My son asked me to try and I found two different suggested methods. The first said slice the top off and let it dry out for a couple of days and then stick it in the soil. We tried that and two days later we spotted a little mold so I dug it up and the entire fruit base was covered in green mold. Several leaves had turned brown and I was ready to pitch it but remembered there was a second way. Because it had already started molding on what was left of fruit I’m guessing it is a long shot but trying it anyway. We cut off all the fruit and removed all the dead leaves and cut the dying ends off the remaining leaves. At the base of the between where the leaves where attached we noticed what appeared to be possible root starts so we applied rooting powder and put it in cactus mix. Like I said, I’m not super hopeful that we can make this work but if anyone has suggestions I’d love to hear them. Just thought this would be a fun little experiment.
This came off of my string of heart plant. I don’t know what to do with it. Does anybody know if it will grow?
Is there any way to chop and prop a cucumber plant ?
Hello! My partner and I have this beautiful Monstera Esqueleto and wondering if it’s ready for us to propagate? If so, where would you advise us cutting from? We are aware we need to cut beneath a node but this is about all we know. Any tips and tricks is welcomed. Thank you in advance! The photo is just of the top (youngest) part of the plant. There are much larger (older) leaves at the bottom that is not pictured. (White t-shirt is hanging behind plant as backdrop to help make plant more visible in photo).
Hey! I want to propagate my string of pearls for my sister! Wondering how to do this????? (I’m seeing her today I put it off for so long so I don’t have a few days if it’s a process😬)
I did it, I ended up cutting this 7ft tall philodendron mayoi and propagating. Hoped this works and I can have many more of these around my home.
I’ve got this small raised bed, I think my nasturtiums are done for the season, any suggestions of what to plant? Or just leave them if they’ll come back?
My grandmother’s snake plant had a pup and she let me have it. I’m growing her in water for now and she’s already growing roots!
I bought my 1st corm (it was the only way I could afford a black velvet pink ver Alocasia). What do I do now!? How long does the cup cover stay on? How do I know when it’s time to put her in soil? Thanks in advance!
I've been gardening for 4 years. 2 years ago, I tried gardening according to the moon phases, and it was incredibly effective. You won't believe the results you can achieve until August 15th. 🌚🪴🌝
I just tore up my prayer plant (to water propagate what remains) because it hadn’t been doing well for a long times I found these seeds or maybe corms. Is there anything I can do with them?
I am new to succulents and have never tried propagating them. I had two of my potted plants drop leaves and it appears than one of them has already started to take root. I would love for both of them to propagate if possible but not sure what to do to encourage them. I moved both of them to a small pot with cactus soil but haven’t given them water since moving them. The leaf in the left is a Coppertone or Adolph sedum and the one on the right is a Topsy Turvy echeveria. Do they need any special attention? I just have them in a small plastic pot with drain holes but don’t know how frequent to water them since one has a tiny root and the other is just a leaf.
