Jade Propagations :)
i’m wondering what i should do with my sensitive plant. it looks very stretched. i moved it in my window cause i figured it wasn’t getting enough light but it just looks silly. can you propagate a sensitive plant? if so, how?? it all seems to be new leaves on the ones that look stretched
I received my monstera albo cutting in the mail today. 🥲 It had root rot, and it extends to the other side of the node. The leaf and stems look okay. I used sterilized clippers to trim the rot and I placed it back in water, I salvaged the node but not the root. Is this my best shot? Any tips at all???
Hey! Wanted opinions on what works better for ficus tineke propagation for some stem cuts. Water or soil? Keep it in window indirect light or less light, grow light? I haven’t had too much luck in soil with this plant but if anyone has a recommendation it would be much appreciated.
Did I propagate this prayer plant correctly? It was getting too long and this piece was breaking in half, so I thought if I cut it and placed it in water until it grew roots, it would be better off to replant.
First new leaf coming up from my syngonium cutting 😍 not sure what variety she is but dang is she pretty!!! 🤩
First propagation I’ve done under a growlight — I put it through hell 😅. The earliest photo was during December as it struggled to grow by a chilly windowsill. And its bright red phase was when I was unwittingly scorching the leaves by hanging the growlight too close. 6 months in, I think I’ve finally found a sweet spot.
Please help my plant! I was given this crown of thorns stem cutting from my aunt, a beautiful little piece with flowers. Now the flowers are wilted and leaves aren’t doing well. I think I did the mistake of placing the cutting in a jar of water to grow roots, but learned they don’t really like water so planted it in succulent/cactus soil. But so far hasn’t sprung back up. Any advice or suggestions to get this plant to regain its vibrancy?
Can anyone confirm if this is root rot? It’s a jade and a Purple Heart. Theres no roots forming yet, but I don’t know if the browning at the end is part of the process and will prevent roots from growing? I’m just learning how to do this and got some stem cuttings from my aunt to start my own plant journey. They’ve been in a jar of water for about a week and a half. Any help would be appreciated! Thank you!
What should I do with all these pups? Let them keep growing here or prop? If prop, how do I do that? She bloomed last year and her leaves have been dying little by little so I peel them off.
I’m going to attempt to grow Dragon Fruit 🥰 so far my lemon plantlet is alive 🤣 any tips
I have a ponytail palm that is really special to me. It got infected with black fungus knots this winter and although we thought it survived eventually it all pretty much died. I have replanted it and a ceramic pot, and I took out some of the roots because it was pretty root bound in that pot. I don’t know if it’s gonna grow like this, but if anyone hasany advice , please share!
Dose anyone know if you can propagate wood leak/wild leak by putting it in water with the bulb?
What is the best way to propagate this elephant bush? Do I just trim the ends off and put them in water??
I need some advice for my rubber plant. Is it good to prune the top off? Has anyone done that? Do you propagate what you prune? Mine looks a bit leggy and id like it to get bigger leaves instead of always putting new ones on.
(Post copied from a different group where it wasn’t getting any responses) I have some nice sproutlings that emerged from my starter plugs. Should I push the plugs into soil or gently pull out the sproutlings and plant directly into new soil. And if so, how tall should the sproutlings be before pulling them out of plug? And what, isn’t sproutling a word? It’s underlined in red as if it isn’t!
These corms fell out of my rescue Alocasia but I don’t have any experience with them. I don’t even know if they’re okay to use. Can someone point me in the right direction for propagating/planting it. Please and thank you!! 🙏
How do I split these??
I think I need to chop but where should I cut this begonia? And should I prop it in water or a prop box?
Hi guys, I’ve been propagating for a while but I’ve never known what to do with these bits after making cuttings? Any advice?
