These corms fell out of my rescue Alocasia but I don’t have any experience with them. I don’t even know if they’re okay to use. Can someone point me in the right direction for propagating/planting it. Please and thank you!! 🙏

I gathered some pics to show u how I recently grew a few corms. It was my first experience but it worked!! I acquired 3 Alocasia Longiloba corms in November. I didn’t want to plant them yet so I wrapped them in newspaper and put them in a dark cupboard until I was ready to plant them. I purchased stratum (I bought Fluval brand). I thrifted an air tight jar and put stratum in the bottom. I put the corms halfway in the stratum so that the pointy end is pointed up and sticking out. I filled the bottom with water to just below the top of the stratum. I misted the jar and covered it with the top to keep the humidity in. I put mine on a seedling heat mat but u don’t have to. And just watched it grow roots and then leaves in amazement. Once the leaves hit the top of the jar I left the top off. Now it’s time to plant!! Pics to follow. Good luck!
2 Me gustaI would plant all of them (if u want that many…lol!). Sphagnum should work just as well. I’m excited to see ur results!
2 Me gustaIf you don’t want to grow then right now you can just put them back in the soil and they will eventually sprout into new plants
0 Me gustaThank you for the advice! I actually planted all of them out of excitement. 😂😂
