Hey guys. I hope everyone is well. I am propagating my golden pothos and this leaf was fully green when I put it in the water, but now it is yellowing and browning. But itās also actively growing a root while it is getting more of the yellow/brown coloration. I am confused as to what to do here. Do I throw it out or is there still hope for it? I am fairly new to plants so Iām still learning how to diagnose and treat issues. I do have 3 other cuttings that are doing well so if this one doesnāt survive I have others.
I really want to propagate my Peperomia, do you guys think it is the right time to do it?
What do I do with the baby? If I just let it go, will it get too crowded?
How do I propagate a bunny ears cactus?
My spider plant grew some seed pods and they recently opened, can anyone give me advice for how to grow them? Should I just stick them straight into soil or germinate first?
I havenāt really grown anything from seed before. A friend got me a Bonsai starter kit with seeds and a soil puck. The instructions said to soak the seeds for 18-24 hrs before planting them, and to take the seeds that sunk to the bottom of the bowl. Unfortunately I didnāt get around to planting the seeds after soaking them, and itās been a few weeks since I did that. Have I ruined these seeds by soaking them and not planting them the next day? If not, do I need to soak them again before I plant them?
Hi everyone! I need a little help with my zebra succulent. It has a new plant growth on its vine, which I didnāt know couldnāt happen! How do I propagate this? Much thanks in advance!
Hey yāall so I found this leaf behind my counter with what to me looks like a node. I donāt know how many days it was back there or how it fell off but I decided to put it in water to see if itāll root. The only thing is that the leaf is looking a lil well ā¦.. Sad and wrinkly . it was a lot worse when I found it. So I have a lil hope for it, but Iām new to this and naive. Yāall think itāll root?
I purchased 10 bare root strawberry plants this spring and they are growing like crazy. They are June bearing Allstars and I have been pinching both suckers and flowers to the plants to focus on root growth until next year. That said, several of them have developed multiple crowns and I am wondering if I should separate the crowns into individual plants and if so, should I do it now, or when they are dormant this winter. I have a ā3-year planā for my berry patch. Year 1, pinch all suckers and flowers, year 2 and 3 pinch suckers until after fruit is harvested. Plants older than 3 years tend to produce less so may or may not be removed. If I split the crowns, they have to be dug up so should I now view them as year 1 again and let them re-root or go ahead and let them fruit? I have Sparkler variety June bearing as well and more of those have multiple crowns but the super hot weather seems to be stressing them so Iām planning to leave the alone this year instead of splitting them (unless they can be spot while dormant.) Thanks to anyone who takes the time to help or make suggestions!
I have been propagating some cuttings and I am afraid about root rot. I will post pictures of the other cuttings when I get home. I am just worried
First time propagating super sweet cherry 100 tomatoes! Propagated in a RO water in a humidity dome left for 8 days. No changing water. Any recommendations now? Transplant to soil? šš„
Iāve always water propagate pothos and I know it gives the best resultsā¦. 3 and half months ago, I noticed a leaf with a stem was slowly dying so I tugged it and off it came. Decided to do my own experiment seeing if I could prop just a simple leaf and it had this tiny long āhairā that I couldnāt tell if it was a root already or not. But somehow all those months, this leaf stuck it out and continued to be most vibrant dark green, no signs of dying which baffled my mind. Today, I went to do water change and I just noticed the roots are finally out! Guys, what? Iāve always been told pothos are best propagate below nodes. I didnāt know this was even possible? š³
1 year progress on Zz plant leaf propagation. They started in water last summer which took a few months to have soil ready roots. I planted 5 leaves per pot and only 3 have sprouted new growth in each. I knew this would take a long time and although this was successful, I wonāt be doing it again. If youāre looking to propagate your Zz plant, stem cutting is the fast and easy way to go.
Any propogation tips? Any and all welcome!
I need help w my prop box !! I made this prop box about two weeks ago - itās sphagnum moss soaked in water and Super Thrive and a small glass of water to help with humidity. First pic is when I made it, second pic is today. There seems to be some mold growing on some of the plants - Iām worried it may be too humid AND Iām worried that the mold will spread. My plan is to take out the glass of water and any visible mold. Any thoughts/advice ??
How long should i keep this cutting in water? Would clay balls be better for this? Any ideas or suggestions are amazing thank!!
