I just got these cuttings from a friend. Is it okay to put them in my little fish tank or should I have them just in water? This is my first time with propagation so any advice is gladly welcomed!

I would do the tank next to the air bubbler or filter to get the proper airflow to the roots, I keep my pothos growing out of my tank for years

That’s a great idea! I’ll switch which side they’re on for sure. Thank you!

Fish tank is way better than just water, but the darker you can keep the roots of the cutting the better the roots develop. Allowing the airstone to run across the roots also improves development and prevents algae growth from building as quickly as

Thank you! Is there something I should do if algae does grow on it?

One of my pothos invaded my aquarium about a year ago. The light for the tank is so bright she can't keep leaves on the vine along the top of the water and the room lighting isn't enough to prevent stretching on the rest of her, but she seems happy and grows faster than the mother plant that's potted 🤷🏼‍♀️ Sometimes I trim her roots if they're getting too out of hand (she tries rooting into the front of the tank) otherwise, I just let her do her thing. There's some algae on her roots now but it doesn't seem to slow her growth; my shrimp LOVE foraging in the roots and algae clumps.

That’s awesome! I hope mine ends up doing that well. Your tank is gorgeous!
