I’m propagating jade plants and have repotted them to a larger shallow pot without drainage. It’s been a few months and they haven’t died but they haven’t rooted either and they constantly look dehydrated. What do I do? ☹️☹️

The cutting should be left out to callus for a few days. Somewhere bright and warm. Did your cutting have at least two the three nodes? I prefer to prop in water until the have roots. I feel this gives me more control of the environment. Then once i see roots about 2 inches i pot in well draining soil. In my opinion drainage holes are a must, only because I’ve had casualties due to root rot from no drainage.

Also the pot is too big. I also tried to do what you did and the Jade cuttings never rooted I had to throw it out. I think propagating in water would be better next time.

Jade plants need a smaller pot.

continue to water lightly when the soil is completely dry, they should root in time. i wouldn’t recommend propagating jade or any succulents in water as the transition back to soil can be really hard on the roots. it may be beneficial to switch them to a container with drainage so that you can saturate the soil fully without worrying about over-wetting the soil
