I am trying to propagate this pathos in water. I can’t tell if it’s making progress or possibly rotting. I’ve changed out the water and sprayed the “ roots” with alcohol. Should I let it dry out for putting it back in water?

The very bottoms of mine sometimes holder mushy, they still grow roots tho! Sometimes takes several weeks or even months
2 likesYou could cut off the mushy part if it’s at the end where no root nodes are
0 likesIt doesn’t feel mushy. It’s still hard. It just looks brown on the stems. It might be hard to see from the photo.
0 likesIt’s good that it’s not mushy anc I think mine get this way to, I’ll have to look closer at them
1 likeIf there’s nothing mushy, I doubt you have any rot. You can put them straight back in the water if you didn’t cut them at all. If you did just recently trim them, let them callous over for an hour first. I’d use hydrogen peroxide over rubbing alcohol on the roots as it’s gentler but will still help stop the spread of any bacterial or fungal issues if that’s the concern.
1 likeLet em soak. Those roots will show up eventually. Mine took a while as well.
3 likesHave you tried propagating drops?
1 likeYes, I use prop drops
1 likeThey seem to really be speeding my root growth up, I didn’t know about them when I started but someone told me I should try them so I did. The first ones still took a while and from what I read not everyone will root so doing a few is better!! Don’t get discouraged they will root for you!!💚
