👋 Plant Newbie here! At what point do I plant cuttings? These Coleus cuttings have rooted about 1 inch so far. Also, any recommendations to not shock the plant in soil is appreciated. Thanks!

    I would wait until there are secondary roots! :)

      These are my first propagation’s ☺️ - what is a secondary root? Like a tap root?

      a secondary roots is a little root that grows off of a bigger, main root. here's a picture :)

    I’ve been successful with 4-5” roots and a small pot (depending on the plant usually a 4” pot)

      Thanks for the advice!! These are growing so well I bet I’ll be able to transfer soon! I picked Coleus to be my first attempt at propagation, because I heard they are pretty easy and faster. 🪴

      The roots look super healthy!! Hope you can get them in soil soon! 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻 if you have a pothos you can add a node to your props and it will release the rooting hormone and help your other prop root quickly since pothos are such prolific rooters.
