Help! My mother day gift was a clearance money tree and didn’t realize it had really bad root rot. I did research and it said to cut away rot and dry out, but now I don’t know if I propagate in water or soil again?

since you have four, why not do two in water and two in soil?
6 likesThat is a great idea! Do you suggest cactus soil for drainage or potting soil with perlite?
1 likei think either would work since the key here is water/hydration control. long as your cactus soil isn’t too sandy and retains water enough i think either would probably be fine.

1 likeI had 4 that looked like that and only one ended up making it (to be fair mine was a Lowe’s as well) I planted them in soil and only watered about once a month taking out the the mushy trunks as they died; I cut it all the way down to where it was still green. It took about 2-3 but I finally have this tiny little sprout; and I’m so proud of it! It’s in regular old soil as well! Good luck!
