Aw, that’s too bad, hopefully I can keep this guy alive. Do you know why yours ever died?

I’ve never done it before, but I would say you should probably trim off the brown end on the leaf stem, let the whole thing dry for a day or so to callous and then put it back in water. Maybe even adding a bit of liquid fertilizer. I don’t know if the roots would actually be able to grow from the dead part at the end.

Will do! Just cut off the bit now and is resting on my shelf, don’t have liquid fertilizer but hopefully I’ll be good without.

Yeah it’ll be fine without the fertilizer, just sometimes helps speed up the process a little bit. Best of luck!

I was told you shouldn’t propagate a rubber tree in water. I cut mine, seal the ends with root grow (or let them dry for an hour or so) and then right into soil with some suran wrap around it. It takes about 2 weeks for them to root. Its what works for me 🙂

Like this? I dried it overnight so hopefully that won’t affect it too much! Should I ever remove the suran rap to water it?

Yes I lift the plastic and I spray it with a spray bottle every couple days but I don’t water it to soaking wet because it can cause the stem to rot so damp soil but not wet. Looks good!! 👍🏼
