Sorry to be posting basically the same thing again, just had an update. I’ve let the aloe cutting sit out for the last two or three days to callous (I googled it lol), but it’s kind of shriveled up at the end, is this normal? Should I cut the end part with no inside in it now? (The part I’m measuring with my fingers in one of the pictures is how much has gotten shriveled)

    It'd be best to leave it unless it shows signs of rot. If it does look like it's rotting and not just drying, then use sterile trimmers to cut off the rotting section (plus some extra; mold roots are effectively invisible and can reach a full inch in length)

    No that is fine, if you cut again you’ll need to let it callous again and it might just do the same thing
